MacFarland opened in 1923. It is built of red brick and limestone in the Colonial Revival/Neo- Classical style similar to other schools built during this time. Additions to the original building were constructed in 1925, 1927, and 1932, and in total, the building consists of approximately 110,000 square feet. As can be seen from the aerial image below, MacFarland is part of a large 36-acre public complex in the lower part of Ward 4 that includes DCPS public schools, public charter schools, the Petworth Neighborhood Library and the Upshur Recreation Center, which includes an outdoor pool, baseball field and other park and recreation amenities. Although not designated as historic, the building is eligible for listing on the national register of historic places.
Our services include MEP/FP design Build services for renovation of MacFarland Middle School of approximately 110,000 sf. Our understanding of the project is based on the email dated October 31, 2016. LEED for Schools - Gold Certification is anticipated.

The Project consists of the construction of a new elementary school building on the campus of Orr Elementary School located at 2200 Minnesota Avenue, SE, Washington, DC 20020.
Our services include Enhanced Commissioning for construction of a new elementary school building of approximately 70,000 sf. Construction activities will be conducted in two phases, with the construction of the new building occurring first between the winter of 2017 and summer of 2018. DGS is pursuing to obtain LEED GOLD certification.
Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Guaynabo, Petro Rico is the first BOP facility to be located outside of the continental U.S. The institutions primary mission is to hold pretrial inmates as a service to the U.S District Courts and the U.S Marshals Service for the Districts of Puerto Rico and U.S Virgin Islands.
MDC Guaynabo is a 10 story structure located on a 10-acre concrete plot.
