DC United's dedicated soccer stadium serves as a prime illustration of urban planning excellence. Despite its compact 8.5-acre location, the venue is at the core of one of the city's most ambitious revitalization undertakings, known as Buzzard Point. The stadium showcases innovative features like stormwater drainage systems, waterless urinals, and a captivating pregame light show powered by LED technology.

SETTY services encompassed the design and implementation of a fire protection sprinkler system, ensuring compliance with NFPA 13, 14, 20, and the District of Columbia Building code. This comprehensive system incorporates a fire pump and integrates both wet and dry pipe systems.

Specifications include the installation of standpipe systems in stairwells located on the stadium's south and east sides, with piping sized at 2" and smaller utilizing schedule 40 black pipe, and piping at 2½" and larger employing schedule 10 black pipe. Pendent sprinklers are discreetly recessed with a chrome finish, while upright sprinklers were constructed from brass. Single-Interlock Pre-action systems were strategically positioned in the Main Communications Room and Scoreboard Control Room.

Additionally, the east building houses a fire pump, jockey pump, and pump controllers, ensuring efficient system operation. Finally, a Dry Chemical (FM-200 clean agent) system was incorporated to safeguard the Main Communications Room.
