With a long history of support for Gallaudet University, SETTY has supported the Facilities and Maintenance Group, as well as the Capital Construction Departments for almost a decade. A few select projects SETTY has delivered are: Commissioning services, testing for system operations and safeties, Construction Plans, BAS Integration Plans, Chiller Plant Optimization, Chiller and Chilled Water System Upgrades, Cooling Tower and Condenser Water Upgrades, Chiller Building Historical and Operational Analysis, STEM Laboratories, and Student Commons. Our efforts have not only supported the University to optimize its facilities, but also to reduce its energy costs and footprint, and continue to be stewards for Washington, D.C.
One of our flagship projects, along with Quinn Evans Architects, for Gallaudet University was the design of a new 60,000 sf student dormitory/residence hall, called the Living and Learning Residence Hall. The integrated BIM design included a 105.3-ton Geothermal system and was designed for LEED Gold. The project has enlivened the heart of the campus and also won the 2013 Washington Building Congress Craftsmanship Award.
