SETTY provided complete Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering Design services for the transformation of the Kenilworth elementary school into a recreation center. The existing building’s refurbishment encompassed 18,000 sf of renovated space consisting of: lobby/lounge areas, a large multi-purpose space, fitness areas, boxing area, locker rooms, restrooms, senior and teen activity areas, and a full kitchen renovation. The renovated space was equipped with a fully independent HVAC system, with power feeds from the 70,000 sf building service.
A new gymnasium and pool house with outdoor pool was included. The project was designed to comply with the requisite requirements for LEED Gold certification.
