Fannie Mae - Retro Commissioning, Washington, DC
Retro Commissioning
SETTY provided Retro Commissioning services in order to reduce energy use for HVAC while improving control and occupant comfort of 227,000 SF Class A office space.
The Retro-commissioning of 3900 Wisconsin Ave required a comprehensive effort in multiple phases to yield the greatest benefit. During the first phase, SETTY’s primary goals were to reduce energy use through optimization of the systems and to extend the remaining life-cycle of the equipment. The first stage of our process involved analysis of the original construction documents to the greatest extent possible to fully understand the original design intent.
SETTY performed complete scripted functional performance testing of the AHUs based on the expected sequence of operation derived from the original design intent in conjunction with any agreed upon modifications resulting from the initial analysis. A final report containing all the testing results, the complete actual sequence of operations, and additional recommendations for improvements were issued
