Baltimore City Public Schools serve nearly 80,000 students in 168 schools and programs, including 45 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 73 elementary/middle schools, and 25 high schools.

Maree G. Farring Elementary/Middle School #203, located at 300 Pontiac Avenue, Baltimore, MD, has an existing building of 46,025 square feet, constructed in 1979. Additionally, a ten-classroom portable, covering 11,000 square feet, was added to the site in 2008.

City Schools have acquired the adjacent property at 301 E. Patapsco Avenue, which features a historic 1887 church with an annex on 0.48 acres. The project aims to alleviate overcrowding at Maree G. Farring by utilizing this site for the construction of a new annex.

The scope of the project includes demolishing the existing annex building, renovating the common areas of the church, and constructing a new classroom annex. This new facility accommodates 270 students from pre-kindergarten through first grade.

SETTY's services encompass MEP/FP design, energy modeling, and construction administration for the renovation of the 6,130 square foot church common area and the construction of a new 9,700 square foot classroom annex.
