Flint Hill School, Oakton, VA

multicampus digital twin implementation

Flint Hill School, a private, co-educational college preparatory institution in Oakton, Virginia, serves students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 across two distinct campuses—one for the upper school and one for the lower school. This project involved a multicampus digital twin implementation, tailored to meet the school’s diverse operational needs and ensure seamless facility management across both campuses.

To enhance energy management, we strategically integrated submeters throughout the campuses, providing granular insights into energy consumption. This allowed the school to monitor usage in real time, identify inefficiencies, and allocate energy costs more accurately. Additionally, the submeters supported tariff management, enabling Flint Hill to optimize energy use according to time-of-use rates, ensuring the school could lower operational costs while reducing its environmental impact. This holistic approach provided Flint Hill with a powerful tool to manage both infrastructure and energy effectively, setting a new standard for independent schools utilizing digital twin technology. The two school buildings consists of over 350,000 sf.
